Here we go: the last issue of Amoral Times of the year. 2015 was largely a "behind the scenes" year for Amoral, with us mostly occupied with making the new album and rehearshing the new line-up. But now it's time to come out of our cave! 2016 begins with the release of our brand-new album "In Sequence", and a proper Finnish tour. You'll find more info on both below. We do have plans to tour outside Finland soon as well, and naturally we'll keep you posted on all confirmed tour activities, both here and on our websites.
We have a couple more guys to go with the the Street Team interviews, and this month it was my turn to sit down and answer all those questions that the team members have been wondering about. Let's get to it then...
The Street Team Interviews continue this month, and now it's Ari's turn to answer the team's questions. So without further adue, let's get to it....
ARI KOIVUNEN - THE STREET TEAM INTERVIEW
Six years have passed since the moment this guy joined Amoral and started a new erain the history of the band. Amoral’s music became more melodic and full of new shades, senses. No doubt, the musical instrument he owns has a unique sound. So who is this guy?
Hopefully everyone's autumn has started off nicely! Here in Camp Amoral things are moving along: the details concerning the release of "In Sequence" are in constant progress, and we should be able to give you some proper info on the relese date pretty soon. Meanwhile the band is hard at work practicing to get the new six-piece lineup into top shape, both for the Helsinki show in November but also for next year, when the extensive touring will begin. It's been a lot of fun playing some really old songs again, as well as arranging some newer ones for either three guitars or two guitars and keyboards. It makes songs we've played a thousand times feel fresh again!
After months and months of recording, mixing and mastering, we're so happy to tell you that our 7th album ”In Sequence” is 100% done! The release will take place early 2016, with a first taste of new music happening before the end of this year. As always, we'll keep you posted on updates regarding the new album here in the newsletter.
In other news, we have a one-off show coming up in Helsinki, at our home-away-from-home, On The Rocks. More info about that below.
We decided to spice things up a bit with the newsletter, and get some outside help for it. So Mandy Jacobs, our trusty street team member, conducted an interview with Niko Kalliojärvi about his return to the band, musical history, and what he's been up to during the years he was away.
