Biography

I think I need to tell you something about how I got into playing or singing... Let's see... When I was about six years old I got my first electric piano and I got some lessons for six moths or so, but I stopped because my favorite bands at the time were such as Metallica, Napalm Death, Slayer and Anthrax so I thought I can't play any of their stuff with piano. When I was nine I found my real desire and started playing drums. I actually never had my own drums but I played my friend's drums and drums at youth center.

I started playing in a band when I was about 12 years old and played with the guy who played bass back then till I was 18, when and I moved away from Helsinki for couple of years. The bass player started to play guitar within a year when we started... I think I was about 13-14 when I bought my first guitar and, surprise, it was a crappy Stratocaster copy but I bought an Ibanez pretty shortly after that. I played drums in about 10 bands overall from age 12 to 18.

Actually I think my life pretty much changed when I moved to Lahti. I started to play pool almost 24/7 and the owner of the pool hall took me to a karaoke bar where I sang for nearly the first time of my life. I joined a band where I was meant to play drums and sing but we didn't have any good mic stands, so we needed to get a new drummer or singer. We found a drummer faster so my destiny was to be the singer. Next 3-4 years were just working and training and some random gigs, and the last couple of years have gone so fast I don't even know how all of this has happened!

I use any microphone available but Shure SM58 is a classic and always works.
